Bright Ideas helps high school students take control of their futures, by demonstrating that their youth does not determine what they can or cannot do. This six-week program teaches students the fundamental business skills, from marketing to human resources, and helps them create their own startup.
Participants are loaned $100 to help finance their ventures as they compete against other teams for prizes. Each team will be supported and mentored by a Bright Ideas Mentor and all teams will be taught by four well-versed Enactus SFU alumni. To complete the program, participants will compete in a Dragon’s Den style competition where they pitch their business, talk about their successes, the problems they encountered on the way, and how they overcame them.
